About BodyTalk

BodyTalk is an astonishingly simple and effective form of therapy that allows the body's energy systems to be re-synchronized so they can operate as nature intended. Each system, cell and atom is in constant communication with each other at all times. Through exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, however, these lines of communication can become compromised, which then leads to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental well-being. Reconnecting these lines of communication enables the body's mechanisms to function at optimal levels, thus preventing disease and rapidly accelerating the healing process. In this way, BodyTalk stimulates the body's innate ability to balance and heal itself. BodyTalk can be used as a standalone system to treat many health problems or can be seamlessly integrated into any healthcare system to increase its effectiveness.

BodyTalk's major assets are its simplicity, safety and the speed of its results. It is non-invasive and objective in application and works effectively on humans and animals alike. Even if a BodyTalk technique is performed incorrectly, it simply means that there will be no result or change. It will not make things worse. It follows, therefore, that anyone who receives BodyTalk has nothing to lose and everything to gain as far as his or her health is concerned.

BodyTalk in Detail

The body is a complex and amazing mechanism, with each of its systems, cells and atoms in constant communication. Unfortunately, the stresses of everyday life can compromise these lines of communications or overload the energy circuits. To address this, the BodyTalk System provides a simple and effective form of therapy that allows the body's systems to be re-synchronized so they can operate as nature intended - and effectively respond to injury and illness.

The BodyTalk System works by first identifying the weakened energy circuits within the body. The practitioner relies on the body's inherent knowledge of itself to locate the energy circuits that need repair by using a form of biofeedback, which is a subtle muscle-testing technique.

For every malfunctioning energy circuit found, the practitioner or client contacts the corresponding "points" with his or her hands. The practitioner then lightly taps the client on the top of the head, which stimulates the brain center and causes the brain to re-evaluate the state of the body's health. The result is that the general energy balance of the body is greatly improved.

The practitioner then taps the client on the sternum to "announce" the corrected energy flows to the rest of the body. This is beneficial because the heart is responsible for communicating the state of the body's health to the rest of the body. Stimulating the heart by tapping the sternum forces the heart to store the corrected energy patterns in the body's cellular memory. This means that the body will remember these changes after the treatment.

The BodyTalk treatment protocol is straightforward and requires no diagnoses. The practitioner relies on the guidance of the body's natural wisdom to not only locate the weakened lines of communication but also to find the proper order in which they are to be addressed.

Just as the body heals a wound with a particular sequence of chemical reactions, the body wants to address all healing in a certain order. This concept is paramount in the balancing process to initiate the body's ability to heal itself. The healing process usually follows rather quickly.

BodyTalk Access

BodyTalk Access was developed for the lay person or as a one-day introduction to the larger BodyTalk System. The five basic techniques (from Modules 1 & 2) learned in an Access class, when utilized as a group, can have a profound positive effect on basic household illnesses and injuries and even in first aid situations while emergency personnel are on their way. And when used in a weekly routine, these techniques can bolster the immune system and help maintain a balance of wellness. BodyTalk Access is proving to be a very successful set of techniques for the home or school or work settings.

Module 1

Module 1 provides a comprehensive introduction to the BodyTalk System and presents many powerful treatment techniques that address a wide variety of diseases. This course consists of theoretical aspects as well as hands on practical application of the Module 1 BodyTalk treatment techniques. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows:

* General treatments, including overall breathing patterns, left/right brain and body co-ordination, energy blockages associated with birthplace or imbalances with the local environment, energy faults within the main brain cortexes, general and localized hydration, and health problems associated with internal and external scarring.
* Specific balancing of the 12 major body organs, eight endocrine systems and other non-specific body parts.
* Clearing the body of viruses, infections, parasites, food intolerances, environmental allergies and accumulated toxins.
* Clearing past and present emotional blockages, including specific phobias and fears. These treatments have been very effective in correcting a number of psychological disorders.

This course is a prerequisite for BodyTalk Module 2. It is suitable for health-care professionals, as well as lay people who may want to learn the BodyTalk System and use the System on a non-professional level.

This course counts for 8 hours of continuing education for Certified BodyTalk Practitioners' requirements.

Module 2

This course builds on the knowledge gained in BodyTalk 1 and expands the treatment techniques to include the entire basic BodyTalk system. Once again, both the theory and the practical aspects of the BodyTalk treatment techniques are covered. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows:

Extrinsic Reciprocals, Lymphatic System, Nervous/Circulatory Systems, Energy Systems (Meridians, Blood Sugar, Chakras), Environmental Systems.

* Treating the 36 surface energy points that often impact a person's energy level, mood, overall structural integrity, muscle tension, and digestive system. Surface energy imbalances can also cause pain in specific parts of the body.
* Cleansing the lymphatic system including all the body lymph glands and the lymph ducts.
* Treating energy blockages associated with the nervous and circulatory systems.
* Balancing the various energy systems within the body including the traditional acupuncture meridians and the Chakras.
* Restoring energy imbalances between the client and certain aspects of the environment.
* Specific balancing of brain function and improvement of the circulation of nerves and blood to, or within, specific areas of the body.
* Correction of hereditary and/or environmentally influenced cell disorders. Repairing damage from vaccines.
* BodyTalk Module 1 is a pre-requisite for this course and this course is a pre-requisite for any of the advanced BodyTalk modules.
* Module 1 & 2 are often combined into a complete evening plus four days intensive so that the practitioner can learn the complete basic BodyTalk System in one session and start using the modality immediately.

This course counts for 8 hours of continuing education for Certified BodyTalk Practitioners' requirements.

This course is conducted by IBA instructors to help BodyTalk practitioners refine their skills in the practical aspects of BodyTalk.

The instructor also reviews the key elements of Modules 1 and 2 and expands on some of the subjects that couldn't be addressed in the actual Modules because of time constraints.

The class also gives practitioners a chance to clear up any issues they may have with BodyTalk based on the fact that they have had an opportunity to practice the BodyTalk System and become comfortable with the basics.

Depending upon the flow of the class and the number of questions that come up, many instructors will often use this opportunity to introduce some of the principles of the advanced BodyTalk procedure, giving students some familiarity before taking an advanced Module.

If you are sincerely interested in developing and refining your skills in the BodyTalk System, this is a very important course to take.

This course counts for 16 hours of continuing education for Certified BodyTalk Practitioners' requirements.

AnimalTalk Access

Although the BodyTalk System is spreading at a rapid rate in many countries and Practitioners are training in AnimalTalk throughout the world, access to Certified AnimalTalk Practitioners and regular AnimalTalk sessions are, unfortunately, not always available. Fortunately, people living in these areas can still have access to some of the benefits of AnimalTalk through the AnimalTalk Access program.

AnimalTalk Access techniques can be applied within a clinical setting for licensed veterinarians, vet technicians, shelter workers and other trained professionals. AnimalTalk Access can also be learned by virtually anyone to use with their own animal companions at home. There are five basic AnimalTalk techniques that can be combined into a daily regimen which, when applied, has a significant impact on an animal's health status.

When people first use the AnimalTalk Access program, they notice changes in the general health and stress status of their animal companions. Sometimes the changes are dramatic, i.e. a highly agitated animal calms down immediately. Sometimes the improvements are gradual and do not register for a number of weeks, i.e. an animal's severely itchy skin becomes healthier and the animal ceases obsessive scratching habits.

Once an animal's health has stabilized into a healthier pattern, the preventive capabilities of the techniques help maintain that balance, preventing new health issues from arising. The Access techniques can also be used to complement an animal's veterinarian care and accelerate healing.

In addition, AnimalTalk Access can be used to enhance performance and reduce anxiety. For instance, if you are working on training your dog, Access can be used to increase its ability to pay attention and learn quickly. Because AnimalTalk Access can be used to reduce nervousness of an animal, the techniques can be a tremendous tool for animal health care professionals to calm their anxious clients, increasing the animal's comfort and the safety of the staff.

AnimalTalk Access program includes a first-aid protocol, called Fast Aid, that can be used in an emergency situation. The AnimalTalk Fast Aid protocol can help stabilize your animal while getting it to emergency veterinarian care.

In effect, AnimalTalk Access gives access to:

* The convenience and effectiveness of the AnimalTalk System is a compact form.
* Some AnimalTalk techniques in areas where the AnimalTalk System has not yet penetrated and/or medical aid for animals is scarce.
* A set of energy therapy tools that can be safely brought into your home to benefit the health of your animals.
* Effective techniques that can be seamlessly integrated into the clinical setting of licensed animal health-care professionals.
* An AnimalTalk first aid protocol to help animals in accidents or emergency situations.

This course counts for 12 hours of continuing education for Certified BodyTalk Practitioners' requirements.

While most people would certainly put healthcare in the category of "giving" professions, BodyTalk practitioners are more likely to talk about what they receive.

Often, many will tell you, the greatest reward comes when they find they've provided help to someone who had given up hope of ever finding it.

BodyTalk is a revolutionary healthcare system that utilizes state-of-the-art energy medicine to optimize the body's internal communications. This, in turn, helps the body to operate more efficiently and effectively respond to injury and illness. A safe, non-invasive form of care that relies on the body's own healing capabilities, BodyTalk is an amazing mix of the old and the new, with proven results and worldwide growth.

BodyTalk practitioners work with patients around the globe, stopping occasionally in their tasks to share case studies and experiences through their trade association, the International BodyTalk Association (IBA). The stories they relate are fascinating, and the satisfaction they have received is evident, as they use BodyTalk's unique attributes to bring about exceptional results.

Consider:
In an impoverished Mexican village, U.S. volunteers use BodyTalk to help children with special needs. Since BodyTalk is based on biofeedback, a subtle muscle testing, it represents an instant "common language" that can be used to overcome the lack of individual medical histories and the inability of many patients to communicate vocally. Using BodyTalk's simple and gentle therapy, these volunteers have seen these children become more alert and interactive, gain mobility skills, experience reductions in pain and exhibit happiness and affection.

A woman became depressed after her son's death; she also developed asthma, using an inhaler at unsafe levels. During her first BodyTalk session, it was discovered that she had, in part, inflicted the asthma upon herself by making a garden out of the plants from her son's funeral. However, since BodyTalk addresses the emotional aspects of illness, as well as the physical, it was found that the plants themselves weren't the problem; it was, instead, what they represented. After realizing she was traumatizing herself with each visit to the garden, she had her first positive dream about her son. At last report, her mental state had improved, and she had not had to use her inhaler for three months.

A BodyTalk practitioner received an e-mail from a former patient in another country. The message concerned the woman's 88-year-old father, who was suffering from arthritis to the point he could barely walk and could not use his hands. As BodyTalk can be done through distance treatment, therapy began. After four months of steady improvement, a final report came: "My father has recovered an incredible dynamism. He is walking one hour a day down town and back home. Fast and energetic, with no cane. I am really happy to see him like this." The practitioner was, too!

A 60-year-old woman was diagnosed from birth as having "cerebral palsy of the left arm," as well as suffering from multiple food and environmental allergies, poor stamina, depression, generalized muscle pain, insomnia and nervousness. Unfortunately, her palsy made muscle-testing difficult. Fortunately, BodyTalk can be administered through a surrogate. Three days after treatment, the patient called the practitioner to say that her depression had lifted, she was mentally clear and joyful, she was sleeping short stretches and some of her allergies were receding. With continued treatments, she reported feeling as though her life had completely turned around.

BodyTalk can be combined with massage therapy to address ailments such as medial epicondylitis, an overuse injury sometimes referred to as "golfer's elbow." In one report, a massage therapist helped a colleague who was experiencing pain while plying her trade and afterward. As BodyTalk focuses on what needs to be done and the order in which it should be applied, the therapist was able to methodically address the issues creating the pain and to eradicate it.

BodyTalk is used by laypersons for day-to-day health challenges. For instance, a young girl fell while dancing and injured her tailbone, resulting in near immobility and great pain. Using BodyTalk techniques that involved energy links in muscle/skeleton and nerve circulation in the spine, the girl's mother was able to get the child back to full stride in 18 hours and reduce her pain from off the scale to a very small sensation.

And BodyTalk works on pets and other animals, as well, addressing illnesses and injuries and improving overall health. In a special program dubbed AnimalTalk, pet owners and animal caretakers can take care of creatures who can't explain their problems or the extent of their pain.

There are many more accounts of BodyTalk in Action, and the number grows every day. That's because the BodyTalk community continues to expand and flourish. The reasons are seen in the results, and the results speak for themselves.
